ASU CAMP
How to get there:
- Get yourself on one of the many daily flights from Bali, Jakarta, Singapore, & Kuala Lumpur to Medan, Sumatra and then... WE TAKE CARE OF YOU FROM THERE:
- Overnight hotel in Medan with organized airport transportation to/from hotel
- One hour gorgeous flight Medan to Nias
- Two hour scenic car ride to harbor
- Short speed boat ride to Asu
- Fifteen minute walk from the beach to the point, WE CARRY ALL YOUR GEAR.
Staff
Two Expat staff members: Meet Earl and Sam with Languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese and Indonesian
Surfing guides. Earl has been surfing for 20+ years all over the world. He has been a surf guide in Indo and has intimate knowledge of the breaks. Samantha is an expert bodyboarder with experience guiding surf boats. Also an avid snorkeler, Samantha will show you the underwater gardens of Asu.
Professional photographers. Earl & Sam are on hand to capture your sickest barrels and schwacks of the trip. Whether it's with HD Video or unbelievable stills, they will make sure to get your good side. Price for photography are reasonable & negotiable.
Local staff members Folo & Johnny from Asu on hand speaking Indonesian with some English and Portuguese throwin in, are available to help with anything you may need.
Food
3 prepared meals per day; Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner
Healthy and balanced, local & western menu
Fresh Fish (the catch of the day)
Vegetarian menu (upon request)
Cold Bintang, Coke, Sprite, and Red Bull available for sale.
Snacks available all day to keep you energized
Rates Includes
Overnight in Hotel Danau Toba in Medan for arriving and departing guests. (Booking for arrival flights must be scheduled a day before the trip with Asu Camp begins and departing flights must be booked for the day following Asu Camp departure.)
Transport of guests to Asu from Medan and return to Medan. (Transport includes a 1 hour flight from Medan to Nias, a 2 hour car ride from East Nias to West Nias, and a 1 hour speedboat trip from West Nias to Asu. Return is the same, but reversed.)
3 delicious meals, water, and snacks available all day.
2 large Bintang beers and 4 sodas per day.
Boat trips to Bawa when necessary for good surf.
